University Partnership Foundation（UPF）was established as a non-profit organization in California to promote the globalization of Japanese universities and high schools, nurture global leaders, and establish strategic collaborations between U.S. and Japanese educational institutions.
UPF develops overseas study programs between educational institutions in Japan and the U.S., as well as academic internship and student support programs.

To nurture global leaders UPF organizes :comprehensive academicexchange programs between U.S. By establishing strategiccollaborations between U.S. and Japanese universities, the focus isprimarily on.degree-oriented programs including double-degreearticulation programs. The ultimate goal is to prepare participatingstudents to join the global work force by encouraging professionaldevelopment in Asia, and designing academic internship programs inconjunction with global corporations.

By establishing major industry-university-government collaborations,UPF operates:international scholarship programs and tuition exemptionprograms in cooperation with universities and sponsored studentprograms.

To support the modernization of Japanese universities to be able tobetter respond to an increasingly globalized society, UPF leveragesits strategic university networks to launch on-campus English andJapanese language programs on Japanese university campuses, andestablish credit transfer structures with foreign universities toallow study in Japan by U.S. university students and vice versa.

UPF has extensive international support programs for Japanese highschool students including pre-departure preparation in Japan,admissions and enrollment support, ESL preparation programs in Japanprior to departure, on-campus student counseling and support systemsat US universities, and continuous career guidance and job placementservice for those enrolled in US universities. In addition, UPForganizes faculty- and staff- development programs to Japan and theU.S. for participating high school and university staff and faculty.
